Feng Shui (pronounced fung schway), means Wind/Water and symbolizes the environment where we live. This ancient Chinese philosophy recognizes that we are sustained by an invisible, yet very real energy called, in Chinese, CHI.

Chi moves like the wind, but can eddy and become trapped like water and thus stagnate. Life and chi are not static, but a dynamic process of change. If we make simple fundamental changes to get this energy moving again or move it into a new path, we can attract abundance in our business, home, health and loving relationships.

There are several considerations to evaluate. Two specific philosophies that must be considered are YIN/YANG and the FIVE ELEMENTS. Using these two points, we can create arrangements and orientations that improve the energies of our space, thereby inviting good fortune, not to mention a productive working environment, as clutter is eased and we become more organized.

Feng Shui utilizes a tool called the BAGUA in order to determine how to use the energies of Yin/Yang and the five elements to best create a positive flow of energy.  The Bagua is essentially a grid which divides a space up into nine areas, each area aligned to a different energy (health, prosperity, relationship, etc.).

As with many systems which evolve over great lengths of time, Feng Shui has developed into many different approaches, often called "schools."  For more information on the DIFFERENT KINDS OF FENG SHUI, follow this link or the one below.

At Wind & Water we feel that Feng Shui can and should be practical, no-nonsense, understandable and simple.  Many of the tenets of Feng Shui fall into the category of 'good common sense,' but Feng Shui can provide a different way of looking at things to help make that common sense work for you in a stronger more specific manner.  Feng Shui is the luck of the earth and brings the opportunities for a better material life and spiritual creativity.  It is multi-level and dynamic.
